"Is That really you?? Where have you been all these years?" said the brunette girl with her ruby eyes widen in horror as if she just saw a real ghost standing in front of her. Emily was very excited yet very suprised to see her long lost older brother who had been missing for two years. The moment Edward rang the bell of her house and entered the house, both Emily's parents were shocked too and Emily's mouth hung open not blinking for almost three minutes. At first, they thought the tall pale figure with Caucasian skin and russet colored hair was just an illusion or worst a zombie. Yet, he was a real being standing at the footstep smiling at his family waving happily at them. Tears rolled down her cheek and she glomped her long lost brother.

Edward was 17 years old when he went missing. At that time, he attended a scout 's camping trip at a camping park in Boston, Masssachusset. ONe night, he and his friends went for a swim at a nearby river. Later when they all gathered Edward went missing. His body was not found and there was no trail of him anywhere. When the news got to his family, they turned solemn and miserable with his absent. His family was very sad and sent a police force to search for him. Emily was young at the moment and her parents lied to her that her brother went to his grandmother's house for a visit. As time passed by, Emily soon discovered that her parents lied lied to her and she was very disapointed with her parent's malicious lie.

Luckily after two years of waiting, Edward finally came back. It was a miracle indeed. Edward told his family where had he gone for two years. Actually, back two years ago, Edward fainted suddenly when he went for a swimand the river brought him to the countyside. When he woke up, he was at a riverbank of a place he did not know. Edward's leg broke. Fortunate for him, a man found him and saved him from his bad condition. He lived with the man's family for two whole years and when he was fully recovered he came back home. Well, all of that didn't matter anymore. Edward had come back and Emily was in euphoria.

There were so many things to tell her brother. Emily became enthusiastic with his brother's presence at home. She told him about her grades, her romance life, her new school and even about Edward's past girlfriend, Lilian. Lilian was a very pretty maiden. She had fraill body and pale skin cover her muscle. Her hair was long blonde and her eyes was emerald. She was the same age with Edward. Yet, when she knew Edward was missing, she committed suicide. She could not stand the news she head and she decided to end her life going to wherever Edward went. Edward was very shocked to hear the news.

They were very happy. For Emily it's like a fairy tale. Her brother came back and they live happily ever after. However, Emily did noticed something different about her brother. Everytime they sat together talking and eating, Edward's face turn paler and he looked fatigue. "What's wrong?" Emily asked with a very solemn tone. And everytime Emily asked, the same answer repeated from Edward's marble lips. "I'm fine... Only a bit tired" And he smiled softly at her.

One day when they went for a stroll at the park, Edward fpound a wounded cat. He picked it up and they sat at a benchunder a fully bloomed cherry blossom tree. Emily's ruby eyes gazed at her brother while her brother took out an iodine from his packet and rub it at the cat's wounded paw. Emily noticed that her brother was even calmer. She smiled t the fact. Maybe he grew up a lot went he went missing she thought. "edward, you changed a lot." Emily said her voice was even. Edward looked up at her, stared for a moment and chuckled. He told her that he learnt many things while he was at the countryside. He quoted "Every living things on Earth deserved to be pitied and saved when they are hurt and human beings are responsible for the act of saving them," Emily tilted her head and smile though she didn't understand a single word her brother said.

As time passed, Emily noticed her brother looked more tired and fatigue. Everytime she asked her brother about his health, Edward would shook his head and said that he was fine. This circumstances made Emily worried about her brother. Edward lately, always cough badly and when his parents told him to go to the hospital he'd refuse. He said that the factor for him being unhealthy was maybe the cold and changing weather.

Edward's condition became worse. He was always lying on bed sleeping. One day, when Emily and Edward studying together, Emily looked at her brother who was gazing out the window. She noticed that there was emptyness in his eyes. Emily wanted to distract her brother's attention so she screamt "Finished!" and stretched her body. Edward still looked out the window. SHe sat beside him and looked at his books of homeworks. "Edward you didn't wrote a single thing on your paper" She teased. Edward still looked out the window. It was dawn and the moon was climbing up the sky as if to break it. It was a twilight when the Earth was shone by two lights; the Moon and the Sun. It was indeed a beautiful scenery. "Emily, What will you do if I die?" Edward broke the silence. His tone was low and calm though. Emily stared at Edward when he broke those words off. HEr tears began to wet with tears and Edward wiped it immediately. "I was just kidding. I'm not going to die in another 70 more years" He teased and laughed ruffling her sister pigtails.

That night, Emily fell asleep in her brother's bed and suddenly woke up by Edward's phone ringing. She searched for Edward but he was no where near her. She picked up the phone and answered it. "Hello?" It was a phone call from Boston Hospital. The doctor wanted to speak to Edward. She insisted as she said her brother was nowhere to be found. The doctor said that after two surgeries, Edward's condition became worse. He was suffering from an incurable unknown factor disease called Massive Bone Distruction where only 8 people in the world cought it since 1897. He may not live longer was the doctor's last word before Emily hung up and dashed out the room stroke out from her house searching for Edward. Emily cried running screaming her brother's name over and over again. She quickly went to the place they always went. She was very tired. Her breath became shorter and shorter and her heartbeat thumped louder and louder. She knew she had weak bodies but she couldn't give up now. Her brother must be close she knew he was not a coward who will run away from home. She walked some more and stopped at the park. There, she noticed that the place was crowded with people. Emily felt the thrilled and shivered as it came down her spine. She felt uneasy about the crowd and felt like she wanted to throw up. But she dared herself to go there and she did. Her pace gotten slower and slower as she was closer. She squeezed her petite frail body through the crowd and as she was at the front row she felt burnt through all of her body. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EDWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She screamt loudly. Edward died. Crashed hit by a car. The place where Edward's dead body laid was full covered with crimson blood. Emily's tear glands could not stop producing tears from her wet swollen eye. Blood rushed passed through her veins quickly to her brain. Emily could not think no more. He hugged her brother's corpse though she knew his soul was taken by the God of Death and mourned for him the whole night.

Edward was gone permanently now. Emily started her dull life again without Edward. She was lonely everyday. Although she curved bright cheerful smile at people yet her heart shattered into pieces and she felt like it could never be one again. But her brother's quote remain in her shattered piece of hearts "Every living thing on Earthdeserved to be pitied and saved when they are hurt and human are responsible for them" The quote made her determined to be a doctor and one day she will find a cure for the incurable Massive Bone Distruction Disease. Each time she fell depressed, Emily will wait till twilight and looked at the window, gazing the natural beauty of the sky. At that moemnt, she can feel Edward's warmth wrapping around her body through the twilight..
